The PhantomLite Illuminators are very cost effective for paranormal research both the Full Spectrum and IR illuminators provide solid FLOODLIGHT capabilities. The 2 primary drawbacks are the size of the illuminators and how they react to battery drain(slowly losing a single light at a time).
